College student Evan Preston travels through time and becomes a low-born son of the Preston Estate. His mother is murdered, and he is forced into a marriage with a foolish bride from the Harris family. He impresses his mother-in-law instantly with impromptu poems. After marriage, he wins her over with his literary talent and practices martial arts with a mysterious woman. After being plotted against, he tracks down the mysterious woman with her silk ribbon.
