To repay the life-saving debt to Drusilla’s parents, Theodore broke up with Seraphina, his girlfriend of seven years. After the breakup, Seraphina’s parents died in a car accident, and she herself was diagnosed with terminal cancer, leading her to refuse treatment. In the days before her scheduled euthanasia, she unexpectedly ran into Theodore and Drusilla. Drusilla then invited Seraphina to help choose her wedding dress with Theodore and even asked her to be the maid of honor, completely unaware that Seraphina’s euthanasia was scheduled for the very same day as their wedding.
