Adrian Shaw, the Night Monarch, returns home after his grandpa's sudden death. He must uncover the truth, revive the Shaw family, and handle an arranged marriage to Celia Vaughan. Faced with the Vaughan's snobbery, Adrian mercilessly crushes them. He forms the business aliance with Eva Vane, to fight their enemies. Adrian eventually learns the mastermind behind his grandpa's murder is the Vaughan head, Jonathan Vaughan. He defeats him, finally avenging his grandpa.
